Hi,

Thank you for being part of this group and I am so sorry for everyone who is struggling with this terrible affliction.

I have had a spike of tinnitus for about 2 months.

I now went for microsuction as my ear was full of wax, impacting the eardrum and causing some deafness. It was completely blocked and it took 3 sessions of microsuction to clear it. Now the next day the affected ear is screaming and now my other ear has started screaming too. It almost feels like it's trying to tune into the new sound - like a tuning fork.

I was really disappointed as I had hoped this would clear the problem.

Does anyone have any thoughts please, I would really appreciate it.

Do you think it's early days and that the tinnitus will calm down?

Thank you for any help.

I developed tinnitus 5 weeks ago after having my daughter. No known cause other than hormones.
All I know is that in 5 weeks my tinnitus has improved, it's still very much there but it's better. I am more sure than that will be the case for you too, the ears can take a long time to recover. Hang on in there xx

Thank you Kirsty for taking the time to reply. It really helps that someone else is going through the same thing and understands. xx
