I've been dealing with tinnitus for over a decade and have had several setbacks and every time I think oh no this is it then I habituate. Well it's happened again after a trip I took. I've been on planes before with no problem but this time I was in the very back and it was extremely loud, it caught me off guard.
I went a few minutes without putting my earplugs in, but it was too late, the damage was done. To be honest it's louder and more intense then ever.
It's been 6 months and I'm still struggling.
I finally learned that you can't mess around with tinnitus. You can never let your guard down and assume things are ok, that's just a lie. Precaution must be taken always.
