Hi,it's coming up for a year with t been doing really well lately practically back to normal living
Keeping busy working, planning family trips, training, socialising etc, life has been really good compared to suffering I endured last year and bam spike to say I'm gutted is an understatement last few nights have been awful.
I hope this is temporary I'm determined to turn this around just so fustrating, trying to man up but it sucks..just having a rant
Hope your all doing well.

So what is the thing that caused the spike? Somebody shouted at your ear? Screaming kids? slamming of doors? Or the spike just happened for no reason?

Before the spike is your T very very low till nearly unnoticeable which is why you are back to normal living or you have habituated?

Hi thongy,to be honest everyday noises don't seem to affect my t although monday was a really windy day.
since then it's been awful especially last night felt like I stepped back a few months it was so high, tried to calm myself down but couldn't.

Before this I could only hear t in quiet rooms, driving etc fully habituated, well sort of lol.But it's gone up a notch I'm trying to stay positive but getting trying to get to grips with this new pitch.

Just because you have tinnitus and get a new tinnitus spike, doesn't mean the new spike will be permanent. It has every chance of diminishing. I've had numerous spikes that have lasted from seconds to hours to weeks. In the end it's always come back to my base level. Best thing you can do is not make it out to be a monster! Take care.

Few weeks ago I had a major spike, lasted for nearly 2 weeks, I freaked out as well but it slowly settled down.
Spikes are part of the package unfortunately, one can just hope they are temporary.
Take care!

Glad it went down for you Valeri,it does scare you takes you right back to early feelings I'm not going back there,no way.
I'm not gonna let this beat me we live in hope for better days.

Did you recall before the spike happen where were you? Did you stay in a place which have high RF radiation? That is only my guess. High RF radiation as in alot of WiFi signals.

Hi @Shaun, hope your setback was only a blip and that your feeling much better now.
I've been doing well but have just had a setback too......it's so easy to go into panic mode when it happens. I'm trying to keep calm and remember that it doesn't mean I'm back to square one. Easier said than done though.
