Tinnitus Since
2 weeks
Cause of Tinnitus
Noise Induced and sinus infection
I have never thought of writing a success story, because I was so hopeless and negative about my condition.

When I got tinnitus about 7 months ago it was very low, I could only hear it in silence, then after maybe like one month it became high pitched noise and very sucidal and debilitating, I had lost all hope for my recovery.

I used to feel click sounds in my ear when I swallow from the day it starts, maybe because of ETD, muscle of middle ear, I don't know.

But from the last week those click sounds are gone and my tinnitus is very soothing and low like it was earlier when I first got it.

But my hypercusis has increased a bit.

Whatever but I am feeling very relaxed today after 7 months of torture. And I have comfirmed it is the same since last week.

I still have tinnitus. It's not completely gone, but it's1 very soothing and mild,
I wish I recover 100 percent in the coming months.

Guys don't lose hope, you will get better.

Yes, i bet your T & H will continue to fade until it is a total non-issue
Take care of your ears from now on

Take care of your ears from now on
yes, it's very mild now and does not cause any emotional imbalance, like earlier, now I understand why for some people it's suicidal and why for other it's easy to ignore.

I believe now that ears heal, yeah but it takes so much time.

It feels like my life has come back.

I have taken care of the ears seriously since the day I got, and I get this information from the forum, I am very thankful to you and the forum for this information and hope.

I will update when it is gone or decreased more a bit.

You are very lucky. I am still dealing with severe tinnitus and hyperacusis.

can you tell me what caused your tinnitus? What it sounds like? And any other symptoms you e experienced since?

I'm so happy for you!! Thank God you are feeling better
It was caused by noise truama, and was suicidal, frustrating, depressing, made me cry all day, very very very loud , i don't have any more words to describe, I used to regret all day about my mistake and lack of information about tinnitus. I thought my life was over.

I also had ear pain but that is also gone.

Now it is a zero issue for me, It feels like my life has come back, I can easily live with this for the rest of my life, It does not causea any regretful feelings, no anger nothing, now it's just a mild soothing noise in my ears, that's it and nothing else.

I am thankful to the forum for the support and knowledge.

interesting how the tinnitus settled but you say the hyperacusis got worse?

What did your tinnitus sound like? did it start along with your clogged ear sensation? Where you on any medication for your ears like a nasal spray? If so did you take daily?

Have you seen a audiologist? They got these hearing aids now that are amazing! They completely mask the T when it acts up. And have built in TRT therapy. I think they really helped me initially. Check out the new Widex Evoke hearing aids. Could really boost your quality of life.

I don't exactly know, i think it's the time, avoiding exposure to loud music, and eating healthy as much as possible.

But soon after my clicks sounds went away my tinnitus settled. I still hear some click sounds when I swallow but now it's very much less.

My tinnitus sounds like radio static noise hiss sounds, When it starts it was very less i can only hear when i insert my fingers in my ears or when i tried to sleep, after one month it become horrible then i begin notice my clicks sound.

i don't take any medicine at all, I think it's due to changed in my diet from the last 2 months that might have help or it's just the healing by itself. I am continuing with the same diet hoping that it helps settling my tinnitus.

I would like to add one more update, in the moring my tinnitus is close to silence, also my ears feels stronger than before, and I don't notice any clicks sensation some times a day, I will update after few weeks, let's see.

YOU ARE HEALING. Now dont go to stupid ENTs or shitty Audiologists or they will try to make you worse (they thrive off that), also avoid loud venues, clubs, concerts, cinema, blow dryer, hand dryer, blender, etc.

@Rohit Saluja I am very happy for you! Could you please tell us if you might have varied any of your activities a bit from what you normally do, recently? Or have you had any changes in your diet, grooming products, etc?

I am very happy to hear this I am also at 7months but I have spikes due to pregnancy and my doctor said expect it to become louder in rest of the pregnancy :( I am trying to ignore those words and T.

Nice to hear that it calmed down for you. Did you do anything specific for this to happen ?

Any updates? I also have clicking and popping sounds inside my ears when I swallow, but I've had this my entire life. I got tinnitus from noise trauma and its a very intrusive EEEEE sound about 7/10. Maybe getting rid of the problem that causes the popping sounds will also decrease my tinnitus. But I have no idea how to get rid of it. My doctor says its because of my allergy to grass which causes my eustachian tube to be swollen 24/7. The only way to fix that is by doing immunotherapy for 3 years... I feel like there must be something simpler.

@Rohit Saluja I believe you may have TMJ or more specifically disc displacement with reduction. The clicking comes from the your jaw sliding in and off the disc when there is jaw movement.

See 2 min 30s

Now that the clicking us going away it would mean reduced imflammation and possibly less irritation of the audio nerve running though that area

Usually when the clicking has stopped it means you have progressed to stage 3 which is disc displacement without reduction. Basically your disc is stuck in front of the condyle. The good news is that your will most likely form a new disc out of scar tissue and your swelling will go down. Edit: I guess the video explains it!

Ears do not heal. Its a ear for god sake not a broken bone or a cut. Eyes dont heal either and neither does the brain.

Ears do not heal. ...... Eyes dont heal either and neither does the brain.

My research and experience tells me ears, eyes, and brain can heal. DMSO has even been shown to heal severely injured spinal cords that caused paralysis, at times restoring a degree of function. There's lots of documentation on HBOT healing all kinds of brain injuries, from stroke, to aneurisms, TBIs, etc.

Eyes can be healed using various kinds of herbal eyewashes, liver cleanses, etc. Many on this board have reported their ears healing. I'm confused why you don't think healing in any of these organs is possible. The nature of the human body is to heal itself, and if given the proper conditions and therapies, can actually accomplish fairly miraculous things. -- Best!

I do not think ears heal themselves. It is just my opinion.

Then what about those people who said there tinnitus faded away after 2-3 years? I don't think anybody would lie about that, so ears can heal in some cases.

in some cases, not all. Look at us @TheDanishGirl we are suffering more than ever, perhaps we are the unlucky few.

Yes, that's what I said. Ears can heal but not always.....far from it.....we may be the unlucky few BUT there is still hope for improvement, because like I said: in some cases it can take 2 years or more for T and H to get better.

NEVER give up that hope! I still have that.

You and I unfounrately will have to suffer!

I don't have severe T so I don't think my suffering can compare to yours. I think you are way more unfortuned then me, and I feel sad for you :(

But never give up hope that it can get better either by T/H fading, or at least partial habituation. I will NEVER give up hope for this. If I did not have any hope, what was there to live for??
