Hey everyone,

I think it would be cool for all of us to have a space to share our passions! This can be anything from music, paintings, drawings, sculptures, plants, interior design, architecture, poetry, sewing, crocheting, knitting, etc.

I know there must be some creative people on here, and I think its important to have space to feel proud of things you create. So, do it here! I'll start.

Attached is the first flower on my Christmas cactus. I'm a proud plant parent!

Photography - film and digital. It's been on hold the past several months (thank you, loud/screeching tinnitus), but perhaps one day I'll pick up a camera again and hit the streets.

I've programmed as a hobby for almost a decade and just now finishing up my Bachelor's degree in Software Engineering. I've been working on a real time strategy game in my spare time. Nothing fancy, but I kinda like it myself, and that's unusual for being a project of my own. Aiming to be published independently in July;

Oh yeah, and here's this coffee plant I'm trying to keep alive(been going great);

Other than that, I began writing a book, but it's really hard so work halted on that, but I sometimes likes to write poems and stuff.

That's about it. :)

I am an audiophile and have a deep interest in music, particularly classical, opera and jazz fusion. I like to read, my favourite author is crime writer Peter James. I keep tropical marine fish and have an interest in clocks. I am currently working on my Howard Miller Grandfather clock.

Mathematics (which ranges from being a hobby to a reason to live) and watching movies (my iMDB counter says I have watched 1165 movies). Sleeping, too.

Literally a man after my own heart.

Music, music, music! I couldn't live without it. It hurts my ears and makes my tinnitus worse, but I can't help but listen to it.

Historical Architecture - I'll attach a picture of where I am working today, so you can see how beautiful this building is. :)

Climbing mountains. Being in the forests. Swimming outdoors. Campfires etc. Anything outdoors.

Also, like @Michael Leigh, I actually love clocks and automatons.

Oh, and books! I have hundreds. Loads on architecture, history, art history. I love my book collection.

Travelling. I've been all over the world.

Van life. I converted a van to live in.

Surfing and swimming.

And, this is a random one - eating outdoors. I love it. I'll climb a mountain just to eat at the top of it. Yes I'm a weirdo haha!

Basically everything is a passion of mine. I have too many hobbies and interests.

I write poems! I would love to read one of yours.
Oh my, how embarrassing. :X3:

Alright so, disclaimer; I don't consider myself a poet! But I just sometimes likes to sit in nature and write down what's on my chest, especially in times of tribulation, like what tinnitus and hyperacusis has brought.

Because I'm a believer, my writings often contains themes of faith, but I guess I could share my latest text if anyone's interested. (Very roughly translated from Swedish);
When the birds sing,
When the waves hit the shore,
I am filled by wonder.

When the breeze strokes the canola fields,
When the greenery in its beauty blooms,
I may never doubt.

When I behold the lot that I've been given,
I'm filled by gratitude.

When I rejoice in your promises,
I feel your presence.

My friend follows me through it all,
through sorrow, through delight.

Through mountains of glory,
and valleys of despair.
- Yes, always you're there.

You give me all, you take it all,
all by your plan and wisdom.
I guess it's not really finished, but I wrote it during a very sad time with tinnitus.

Now, let me read one of yours @Steph1710 ;)

I don't know if I would call it a hobby, but I do enjoy gardening and growing plants. I also have a collection of cacti from locations all over the US.

Other than that, building stuff and going fast.

@Stacken77, my son would love the game!

I enjoy baking and cooking. I love video games and traveling. I'm very interested in history, specifically the Ottoman Empire, the Tudors, and the Viking Age. I'm also an avid reader and I do some writing myself from time to time. Used to be very much into learning new languages but I find that a little hard at the moment :/

Ancient history, the films of Jess Franco, Mario Bava, Italian Sword & Sandals movies, Shoegaze (especially Slowdive), dub techno, and much more!

I love it!! Thank you so much for sharing. I feel honoured. <3

Okay - here's one I wrote a while ago:

"Like summer snow which fell from trees,
Lifted gently upon the breeze,
A light you shined upon thy face,
With tender kiss and tight embrace,
And like the moon doth have the sun,
Your heart was mine,
And mine yours won".

There you go. :) It's not great but it's mine.

Wow! Strikingly beautiful! Love it!

How cool. What kind of subjects do you usually capture? I can imagine NYC would be full of picture worthy sights :)

Woah! Thats so cool! I am amazed at computer stuff, I could never figure out all those 1's and 0's myself.

I also have a coffee plant, they are so cool! I've heard that after a few years you can harvest a few beans off of it. I'm looking forward to that. Let us know if you start working on a book!!!

Ah yes, music is life. I've been enjoying big bug shuffle by edgar meyer (&others).
I also enjoy books, Stephen King is my favorite author. What kind of fish do you keep? I've always wanted to start my own aquarium.

Mathematics (which ranges from being a hobby to a reason to live) and watching movies (my iMDB counter says I have watched 1165 movies). Sleeping, too.
Amazing how diverse the human brains are. I could never imagine categorizing math as a reason to live, but there you go! Awesome.

And wow, I don't know if I have ever heard of someone watching so many movies! Any favorites? I just saw Die Hard for the first time last night. That particularly movie's audio mix is just ridiculous btw.

I also love music so much. What's your favorite genre/favorite artists? I've recently been letting myself really enjoy music again. It has been amazing.

You have so many things, wow! Amazing. I am also a girl of the outdoors. If I could be out there all the time, I would.

Where is your favorite place you have traveled?

Favorite book or author? I'm a fan of all Stephen King.

Very jealous that you have converted a van to live in, I have always wanted to do that! Also that building is absolutely gorgeous

Holy cow steph, and I was impressed with myself for finishing a 1000 piece. :0
It was a really shit puzzle, but I liked it in the end. I hate starting a new one, because I think I'm never gonna like it as much as the last

I've seen the next puzzle I wanna buy. It's on my Amazon list.

Hey you and me both! I'm a huge houseplant enthusiast/gardener. After COVID-19 I plan on getting my master gardener certification.

Favorite plant you own?

Cacti are so cool, I'm an overlover though so I have to be careful with succulents. My favorite plant right now are probably my two philodendron brasils. They're just so cool. I also just bought a fuschia for my balcony.

What's your favorite thing to bake? Do you have a specialty? I really enjoy making Russian tea cakes.

History is so cool. I enjoy learning about how shitty things were back then, it puts everything into perspective for me. Any favorite books/favorite authors you'd like to share?

I'm sorry you've been finding it hard to learn new languages, I can imagine that would be tough. I've found it useful to focus on the hobbies that I can more easily sink my mind into, that are a little less cerebral and a little more hands on/physical.
