Cause of Tinnitus
unknown/ear infection/noise
So I posted a few days ago about my condition. I'm still unsure how the ringing started but my assumptions are:

-noise induced from working out with headphones..it wasn't super loud but I remember my heart pumping really hard also
-ringing started out faint for the next few days then my ears started hurting
-went to urgent care and Doc said I have fluid in ears and left side looked irritated (that's the one that's ringing)

Now going to GP tomorrow (we just moved so he/she will be new to us). The doc at urgent care gave me prednisone (5mg 3 x 3 days 2x3 days 1 x 3 days) and amoxicillin. From what I read prednisone has helped ear infections and a few other cases. It has been 4 days, so should I ask if they can continue to give me steroids to help the bring the inflammation down so my ear can heal possibly?

As of now I am calm and the ringing is mild. It scares me but I have been trying to keep calm about it.

I would say see an ENT with experience with Tinnitus and let her/him decide. Continuing the steroid may not be the worst idea, but the biggest impact from them you usually get right at the beginning/

Why on earth did they give you amoxicillin? That caused one of the worse spikes in 10 years for me. Antibiotics are not ear friendly at all.

I've had it before with zero issues (H. Pylori)

I'm sorry it caused such a huge spike for you. tk

I m diagnosed with sensuary hearing loss and experiencing tinnitus on my left ear since my GP washed my ears. Now my ENT prescribed predisone for me for a week. I am takin four at once after breakfast. But I get this numbness feeling on my jaws between my ear nd neck. I regret ever letting the GP touch my ear I should have gone straight to ENT. Now this Buss in my ear is frustrating me. Last night I listened to an audio nd it seemed to put it off a bit but then it returned. I have suicidal thoughts now.

I hear people taking about serious and ear injection where can one get those?
