Hello,

My name is Alex and about 2 days ago I woke up with ultra high pitched ringing in my left ear. Yesterday my head felt cloudy and my ears felt weird and full, also some times accompanying the ultra high pitch ringing I will hear a sound like someone is knocking inside my head but that comes and goes. That night the ringing got so loud it was unbearable, I thought I was going to go insane but somehow I fell asleep and got about 4-5 hours.

Today when I woke up I could barely notice the ringing but as the day progressed it started getting louder and louder. It's not as bad as last night right now but it's pretty loud.

Now the part that I'm a little scared of is about an hour ago I was walking into my bathroom when all of a sudden this EXTREMELY loud fire alarm sound like almost double a fire alarms volume filled my whole head for no more then a split second. I literally jumped and had a little moment of panic but I also suffer with anxiety so I am very good at calming myself down and soon had myself much calmer.

This is really worrying me though because I think there might be something really wrong with me. Is this at all something that could happen from Tinnitus? I checked with everyone in my house and nobody else heard anything. I don't feel abnormal and my T didn't even get worse after.

When I swallow I can hear a crackling sound and the T subsides for a second don't know if that helps at all xD.

It's unlikely that what you experience is from Tinnitus, as Tinnitus is just a symptom, but it could be correlated with T, insofar as it all could be related to one common underlying root cause.

I suggest you go talk to a doctor fairly quickly and start a diagnosis process.

Ok yeah i was going to just and see if my T got any better before tonight but i think you're right and i should go make sure everything is ok, thank you.

Do you think i should go to the Hospital like ER or do you think I should just quickly make an appointment to see my family doctor?

I'd try to get seen in the next few days, if it were me
I would also not hang about if I was you. It's probably nothing serious but I've never heard of someone experiencing something that loud!
As for the crackling when swallowing, chewing or yawning, that's normal for a lot of people.
