Tinnitus Since
February 2016
Cause of Tinnitus
Benzos, Stress, Anxiety, Loud Music, Jaw Problems. Who knows
It has been 2 months since I got tinnitus. Should I take it under my doctor's direction? Is it good for an acute phase?

Find a doctor, preferably a neurologist, with specific experience prescribing the drug, and go from there. You can pretty easily find people on here who will steer you one way or the other based on anecdotes and speculation.
I live in Turkey and I doubt that there are doctors who have any idea about this drug but I'm convinced that I want to give it a try.

Unfortunately most neurologists have zero interest in treating tinnitus.

Agree with @linearb. This is a drug with serious side effects. These things can make your condition worse, you know, or cause serious problems. There must be a doc somewhere in your country with experience re. this med. Basing your decision on what people post on an online forum sounds foolish to me. But up to you.

how to convince my neurologist to prescribe trobalt without making mention of the forum? ( he hates the forum and told me not to look)

You don't convince your doctor. You tell him you came across the information that it can help you and hear to what he says. He's a professional. If you have any reason to think he is not good enough, go ahead and look for another opinion, but you go to the doctor to get his training and experience benefits.

I think This drug is to dangerous to take for tinnitus . It's only used in cases of severe epilepsy.where no other drug has worked. No one realy knows the long term effects this drug is going to have on the human body. I certainly won't use this drug no matter how bad my tinnitus is.

Just wondering is Retigabine something that should be tried in the first few months or does it also work if you are 2 years in ?
This is exactly why I would want to ask. I think one guy who was the acute phase in the forum solved his T with the drug but there are also other people get a relief from their T for some time period.
