      COVID-19, exacerbated by syringing
Hi everyone! I’ve only posted on my Introduce Yourself thread up until now. The tinnitus that was exacerbated by the ear syringing I had done on April 14th is still an issue, though it does spike up and then recede to a much lower volume over the course of days and weeks. I’m managing okay and really working on my sleep.

I’ve started taking this sleep supplement from a highly reputable brand, and it’s been 100% spiking my tinnitus over the last couple of nights. I’m trying to figure out why.

Does anyone see anything problematic here? I’ve stopped taking it for now and am sticking to 1.5 mg of extended release Melatonin.

      Thanks, everyone!

I am sorry about your spikes.

This is a guess, but looking at your ingredients, I think it could be L-theanine. The literature refers to L-theanine as a partial agonist of the NMDA receptor, which exerts its effects by modulating GlunN2A and GluN2B gene expression.

I hope the Melatonin helps improve your sleep.
