- Loud noise exposure or an ear infection, or maybe a combination :(
Hello everyone,
I recently graduated from school and for the graduation night(5 days ago), everyone in my school year went to a nightclub. The music was pretty loud but not extremely loud. I've been to much louder discos years before that when I was 12/13, I am now 18. After the nightclub, my ears were ringing a bit but nothing compared to the discos I attended when I was younger.
The next moring, I wake up, the ringing wasn't as bad and my hearing went back to normal as the day progressed. The day after that my hearing was fully recovered but I had a slight ringing when it was silent or when I covered my ears.
When I pay attention to the ringing, especially at night when I'm trying to sleep, it bothers me quite a bit. I believe since the disco the ringing has not been as bad and I think it has been slowly improving. If I do have Tinnitus I would say it is very mild but it is still irratating.
Throuhout my life I haven't done much damage to my ears. I have been to three discos, twice when I was 12/13 and 5 days ago for the graduation night(my last time ever). I've never been to a concert or never shot a gun. When I listen to music on my headphones it is at low volume.
Will this ringing go away, and if so how long would you say?
Is there anything I can do to help it?
Thank you all in advance. Your feedback is very appreciated.
Additional information:
1) I got a very, very light cold four days after the disco(yesterday) which made the ringing a good bit louder last night, but it improved dramatically when I woke up this morning. However, I still do have a bit of a slight ringing in my ears.
2) I can't really hear the ringing unless it's very quiet, or I cover my hears or when I focus on it.
3) I can still hear perfectly fine. It's just the ringing is annoying.
