Does anyone get these very small, very quick muscle spasms in their head?

I read somewhere that it could be a sign of my neck trying to heal?

Typically these small muscle spasms or twitches are a sign of fatigue. This would be from lack of restful sleep or possibly mineral (magnesium or potassium) deficiency.

Where one gets them varies. I suspect the location depends upon the factors that would strain or fatigue the muscles, such as previous injury or present activities. When I was in HS, when I participated in various sports and stayed up quite late studying, I would get them in my thighs. Whenever this happened, I learned that I needed at least an extra hour of sleep the following night.

In the case of side-of-your-head, I would suspect sleep + jaw tension. Note that your teeth should not touch except when chewing. If they do, it is a sign of jaw muscle tension.

@Contrast i believe so. Mine is on and off and currently driving me mad. I have a mixed bag of things going on and have found out that my top three vertebrae aren't in line. I've started seeing a very good physiotherapist about it and she is pretty certain that a lot of it she can fix. I had looked into a chiropractor but really didn't fancy the heavy handed treatment. My tinnitus has been ok for a few days but has been worse since last night that I think I can remember having it although I'm hoping that it's one step back two forward from seeing the physio on Monday. Anyone with any experience in this? I had the best day ever without any ttts thumping yesterday, it wasn't even set off by being in the car as would usually do it

then its not unrelated to tinnitus

That's sounds like some kind of paresthesia and can be due to a lot of things, it's like muscle spasms, isnt it?
