Someone Tell Me This Goes Away After the Cold Goes Away

Well I've had T for almost a year from a loud concert. It's in my brain on the right side. Now I have this cold for a few days and I have a new ring in my ear on the same side. I know it's from the cold. Please tell me this will go away when the cold goes away. Anyone with experience with this please respond. Thank you.......

I'm sure your tinnitus will soon settle back to your base sound when your cold has gone.
Ears are the last to settle down so might take time for the sound to settle after your cold has gone....lots of love glynis

Just got over a gut virus which gave me a new tinnitus sound (in addition to my 2 'usual' ones) and caused my regular tinnitus to be much louder. A few days after the infection has cleared and I no longer have the new sound and my two 'old friends' are back to their usual level.
