i know that you're lonely
i can see it written in your eyes
behind your crooked smile
lives a fear you can no longer hide
you've built an ivory tower
locked the door and threw away the key
hiding in the shadows
thinking that the world's your enemy
the world's an ugly place when you're alone

locked away inside
you're not alone
you tried to live among them
pretending you were just another sheep
but they treat you like an alien
sensing that you're different underneath
so you made your life a fortress
built a wall around your broken heart
but now the walls are crumbling
the isolation's tearing you apart
the world's an ugly place when you're alone
but you don't have to face it on your own
you don't need to hide

locked away inside
you're not alone
locked in solitary
unaware you've always held the key
for you designed this prison
and no one else can ever set you free

I need someone to break the silence
That's screaming in my head
And in my soul

Not my feelings exactly, except as the music continues it becomes increasingly annoying.

Mama there's wolves in the house
Mama they won't let me out
Mama they're mating at night
Mama they wont make nice

They're pacing and glowing bright
Their faces all snowy and white
Bury their paws in the stone
Make for my heart as their home

They tumble and fight
And they're beautiful
On the hilltops at night
They are beautiful

Blazing with light
Is the whitest and the tallest and the biggest one
She's muscled and fine
When she runs

They're tearing up holes in the house
They're tearing their claws in the ground
They're staring with blood in their mouths
Mama they won't let me out

They tumble and fight
And they're beautiful
On the hilltops at night
They are beautiful

Blazing with light
Is the whitest and the tallest and the biggest one
All muscled and fine
When she runs

Mama there's wolves in the house
Mama i tried to put them out
And mama i know you're too wise
To wait till those wolves make nice

That's one of my favorite songs by Phosphorescent. Again, you got great taste Lynn :)

Jeff Buckley - I Shall Be Released (Written by B. Dylan)

They say everything can be replaced
But every distance is not near
So I remember every face
Of every man that put me here

I see my light come shining
From the west unto the east
Any day now, any day now
I shall be released

They say every man needs protection
They say that every man must fall
Yet I swear I see my reflection
Some place so high above this wall

Say, I see my light come shining
From the west unto the east
Any day now, any way now
I shall be released

Oh yeah
But you know, whoa
Ooh yeah

They're standing next to me in this lonely crowd
Is a man who swears he's not to blame
All day long I hear his voice shouting so loud
Crying out he has been framed

I see my light come shining
From the west unto the east
Any day now, any way now
I shall be released

Everybody say with me

I see my light come shining
What about west or east
From the west unto the east
Any day now, any day now
I shall be released

I'd never been able to cry in the first 3 months about getting T - although totally devastated.

I was taken to a night winter street festival. Everyone in the crowd was asked to sing 'Lean on Me' in harmonies - just voices, no instruments. Being in the middle of several hundred people, all of us singing these lyrics, opened the floodgate of tears. I'm glad it was dark.

"Sometimes in our lives
We all have pain, we all have sorrow"

"I just might have a problem that you'll understand
We all need somebody to lean on"
