Cause of Tinnitus
unknown - started after a period of balance issues
I used my new ACS earplugs 2 days ago for around 2 hours. They have left my right ear rather sore. Went to see my GP today and they ruled out any infection. She did however say my ear canal was slightly 'pink' but thought it would resolve over the next couple of days. She said to come back if it hadn't improved in 3 days and I would be able to get some ear drops.

If I were to go back and get some ear drops to resolve the issue, which ones should I ask for?

Thanks in advance.

ACS? What's that?

I used natural ear drops after I had inflammation and irritation from foam ear plugs.

It had garlic in it. Not ototoxic so completely safe. A naturopath store should have it.

Thanks for the tip, will have a look for some tomorrow.

ACS = custom moulded ear plugs.

Sounds like those ACS earplugs are not soft enough, and not fitting properly. You should go back to where they made them once the redness in the ear canal calms down. For now, do not put any earplugs in there until it subsides, and use ear muffs for hearing protection as needed.
