Cause of Tinnitus
Unknown (No hearing loss)
I have two Tinnitus. One in my right ear, which sounds like a cricket/morse-code beeping. This one does not bother me :)

The one in my left year on the other hand, get on my nerves as it is sound reactive. Everytime I "hear" something with my left ear the Tinnitus spikes up in volume. lets say from 2/10 to 4/10 (10 = the loudest temporary tinnitus I have ever had).
Whenever I plug my ears or when i go to bed it always takes 1-3 minutes and the left-ear-Tinnitus completely vanishes!! In the morning the left ear Tinnitus is still ZERO in volume but after a few minutes it comes back.

Does anyone has a similar type of Tinnitus?

No my tinnitus is predominantly in the rt ear High pitched whinning really just started getting bad 3 weeks ago ive had tinnitus for 10 years. Im a diver not sure what spiked it but bam really came on this last couple of weeks Doctor gave me methylpredesone made it worse now very constant only took the steroid 2 days hope it goes away. Good Luck with yours two diff sounds Damn!

hey diver! Diving is so beautiful. I hope you still can enjoy that wonderful hobby.
Strangely, my Tinnitus came out of nowhere.
It means, I have an perfect hearing! Two standard hearing tests where done. One after 5 days after the onset of the Tinnitus (01/2015) and the other in (03/2015). Both are identical! No hearing loss was found. No problems with my ears either.

So I am one of the 5-10% of people with Tinnitus without hearing loss ???
I never took any medicine, thus I don't know how it feels to take methylpredesone or steroids.
I keep taking my supplements such as Magenisum (calms me down :)) and L-Arginin.

Have a nice weekend diver
