Out of the blue just got a horrendous spike in my T!! I was doing so good and dealing with it, but really suffering and down now. Sucks, thought I'd reached the promised land. Hopefully just a momentarily setback.

"Enjoying" a spike myself today. Started last night. I blame mine on a very bad food day yesterday. I ate nothing but wheat foods. It's already letting up.... Or that's what I'm going to continue telling myself.

Hate it, but I will get through it!!
You definitely will.
God, just to think... Exactly a week ago I was ironing my shirts and composing a post to tell you that T is not to be feared and that I've completely overcome mine. I really felt that way at the moment. Unfortunately, the next day I lost that feeling.
Still, drinking camomile tea, and having taken a few valerian pills, I wish you all a good night (it's evening in Moscow). My T is usually the quietest in the morning, and I wish we will all someday wake up in silence.

@Jeff M. Could it be something you ate or loud noise ? Hope it's better now.
Hey Sherri, thanks for the post! No, nothing I can isolate that changed to cause the spike. Just ramped up suddenly. mentally/ emotionally dealing bettter today, but volume & pitch louder and gnarly as ever!! Meeting with my psych this morning. optimistic about that!! Have a great day!!

Going through the same thing right now. It's been a few weeks and seems to not be getting better. It's frustrating but I'm holding out hope it improve. So, I hear ya. Good luck!

For me I notice spikes when I am nervous, exercise and eat unhealthy foods lol.(as if my tinnitus was in charge to make sure I eat healthy diet) Usually it is temporary and goes down. I also am usually busy throughout the day and not pay attention to it. I am aware of it but just have too much to do to focus on the T. Sometimes I forget so well that I catch myself wondering where the T went ... and that is usually when I can hear it again lol.

Solar flares and tinnitus spikes? That wouldn't surprise me!

I can verify that changes in barometric pressure influence tinnitus. My husband and I both have tinnitus, and we've both noticed a change when the weather changes.

I think you're onto something!

I got a spike earlier but it was very quick, maybe like 20 seconds. But it was so loud, it just felt like my ear was full all of a sudden and then it started ringing really loud. Luckily it lowered about back to normal afterwards, it was really random too. I hope yours will get better soon!

Logan what you experienced is apparently quite common for anyone, not just T sufferers. It happens to me now and then, and it's how I explained what I go through with T to my husband, as he experiences it too.

By the way, a crazy idea occurred to me. Can it be that solar flares make our T spike?
I heard about a big one not so long ago.

Funny you mention this, I was wondering the same thing the other day when on the news they were mentioning a large coronal ejection from the sun. If it's able to mess with satellites, who knows?!
