And I'm so nervous! It's for a community based organisation which helps underprivileged families going through hard times. I'll be doing some admin for them.

Jeeze I hope they play the radio in their office, otherwise they will have to listen to my wind chimes ;p hahaha

I know what you mean Amelia - I'm dipping my toe in the water of volunteering too.
After retiring from nursing for 25 years, my T has become so much worse.
Distraction will help I'm sure!
What I am looking at is admin work for the Carly Ryan foundation.
(you can see it on Google) also sewing for "Days for Girls".
Too difficult to explain but they have a great website.

Just googled the Carly Ryan foundation ... I remember that happening. So very sad. But what a wonderful thing to volunteer with.

Days for girls sounds like a fabulous organisation too. I actually do a bit of crochet work for organisations who give packages to parents who loose their babies in hospital. Would like to do more of that actually :)

Amelia - where are you in Oz?
I'm in Adelaide SA.
Maybe we could talk privately - Girl Talk about upbeat things and encourage ourselves to get on with volunteering?

Good for you Amelia. Volunteering, if you can, is one of the best things you can do. It makes you appreciate life more, even with T. And can help keep you busy as to take your mind off your own T. I volunteer regularly with Meals on Wheels and Habitat for Humanity. I have met some great people volunteering, even others with T and it feels great to help out.
