I have been up and down the last two months. Last couple days ive taken turn for worse. Cant eat, super excited and depressed. I dont know if its tinnitus itself or caused from ttts. I feel i need meds do you guys think rivotril is ok on ears? Im heading to my gp tomorrow. Any info is greatly appreciated

sit through it man ... you will come out stronger ... you can`t ignore the sound but atleast ignore your intepretation of it ,... let it come and go by itself ...

You need to stay calm,
Have a long soak in the bath and speak with your doctor tomorrow to see what medication you can try.
Talking therapy helps too so see if you can be referred.
Samaritans or MIND can help too...
keep posting for support too...lots of love glynis

Thank you guys. I just feel like giving up and Feel like ill never enjoy life again. @ razah why no benzos? I def dont want ads because that and stress what started my tinnitus

I think we all know the feeling, on some level, of wanting to give up. Don't go there yet, it's still early for you and I'll bet that better days are ahead, even if it might not seem that way right now.

Keep in mind that medication affects different bodies in different ways. Just talk to your doctor about what might be best for you and keep in touch with them while you're on it. I definitely had the help of medication while I was in the early months to first year. I don't know how I would have coped without it, now I don't need anything. Hang in there and don't be afraid to seek the help that you need, better days are more likely than not to come in time.

Hang in there and let us know how it goes!

Go for a run or some other form of exercise, if I don't do this daily I feel like I'm going to loose it. Too much relaxing, or trying to relax puts me on the edge.

I'm with @Telis go outside, and do something simple.

Being outdoors seems to help me with all the external sensations.
I'd like to think my T is internal, where my life is external. Get your life in the external world.
If we could only push the T back into our subconscious, where it was before.

(And seeing your GP is a Great! - idea, get some medication to help)

Many people here seem to have had a really tough time during the first months of tinnitus and it is very scary for folks early on. People cope in different ways and there are many good suggestions in this thread. I have a negative reaction to sound so I chose reading novels in a quiet room to cope. Others seem to dislike being in quiet rooms. You will find your best coping mechanisms based on your needs. We are here for you.

I have ringing in my right ear for 3 days now it started when I was sick and my nose was stuffed. My ear felt clogged when I woke up and a few hours later I heard a high pitched ring and it still is should I be worried, and will it go away
