Dislaimer: English is not my native language.
I'm 16 and the feeling of guilt is something that I've struggled a lot with alongside the feeling of disappointment for knowing that metal concerts wouldn't be amongst my plans any time soon.
But lately I've been considering that MAYBE it wasn't an acoustic trauma.
The night I noticed my whistle, I had previously been having a phone conversation through my Bose SoundSport earbuds. That night I decided to finally pick them up after two weeks of not using them at all. The reason I wasn't using them was because I was getting constant headaches during those two weeks and my brother told me that he used to get similar headaches after listening to music through his Bose earbuds, so he adviced me to give my ears a break. And so I did. Two weeks later, I get a phone call and tinnitus as a result)???
But lately I've been starting to believe that I didn't cause this. Maybe I'm just trying not to deal with the guilt, denying it. But this is what I think; my tinnitus was most likely caused by my Isotretinoin pills for my acne.
I can't really explain the headaches but I now doubt they were related to my music since they didn't stop when I stopped using my earbuds. Actually they stopped when my tinnitus started, on August 12th.
I'm not using my precious earbuds anymore nor am I taking my acne pills. Needless to say, my face is filled with countless charming red bumps and my ears still ring.
Please tell me that you too believe that Isotretinoin is to blame and not me!! (Oops)
