"Yeeeeeeeeeessssss !!!!!"

Hi I didn't know that you had had to give up playing music because of your tinnitus @Jazzer.

I just wondered what you thought about the advice the BTA gives on its website that:

"The most important thing to do is to keep doing the things you enjoy. If you start living your life differently to accommodate the tinnitus it's just going to seem more of a problem."

Do you @Jazzer find this helpful advice? Or do you like me find it patronising and failing to consider the severity of some patients tinnitus and the impact that tinnitus has on their lives? I'm sure you would absolutely love to go back to playing music. The reality is because of the impact of tinnitus on your life that isn't possible and you don't need some patronising individual at the BTA who probably has never had severe tinnitus to tell you what to do.

I'm genuinely interested in your answer - one of my main goals has been to get much of the information on websites such as the BTA's or the NHS about tinnitus rewritten or removed? So far this year I have had some success and I intend to continue next year.

My tinnitus is at about 50/60 dB.
I dare not risk more damage.
Severe Tinnitus is a sack full of SHIT !!
I have to log off - I'm on the QE 2.
Expensive!

This is great. I will donate $500 in my Mom's memory as soon as my house sells. I'm not sure how much this will help but at least it is something. Can't wait to see the video.
