My tinnitus came 4 months ago with an acoustic trauma and was worsened 2 months ago by another acoustic trauma...
Then, two weeks ago, I had an ultrasonic cleaning at my dentist which gave me a spike and a reactive sound in my right ear (pink noise like, can only provoke it 100% with a hair dryer, but of course only with plugged ears).
The day after the dentist, I went to the ENT - I finally wanted to know what is wrong with my ears. Big mistake as it also caused a spike. I did OAE and Tympanometry ... at least both with no negative results (to that point).
So, two weeks have passed since then and I still got the spikes and a new (pure, constant) tone in the right ear ... I know spikes can last weeks or months and new tones/sensations appearing is also common in the early stages ...
Do you think steroids might help me after 2 weeks and that I should seriously consider getting some? I am again pretty anxious about missing out of a chance to reduce my symptoms ...
I have taken supplements (magnesium, calcium, zinc, vitamin d3, b12, ginkgo), apple cider vinegar and ginger tea in the meantime ...
