Cause of Tinnitus
Ear Syringing (Acoustic Trauma)
Hey everyone, is not my success story sadly, but a girl I know told me her story so I had to come and write it here!

Three or four years ago her tinnitus came on suddenly one night while she was studying at university. She was under a lot of stress at the time with the classes and her grandmother was sick and she couldn't visit her, so she kinda had a burnout. She thought it would last forever and was under a lot of fear and anxiety, and after three months it went away. Since then, the tinnitus has come back two or three times when she's under a lot of stress and it lasts one month or so until it goes away, but it comes back in stressful times.

What she did was relax and ignore it. Drink some tea and thinking positive thoughts "nothing happens, it will go away"

So yeah, it went away for her! There is hope for stress induced tinnitus :)

I cant find a reason why stress induced tinnitus would not go away once the cause is managed.

I recently got stress-induced T as well, also because of uni stress. After a visit with ENT, I took a week where I really relaxed (as a result not getting as much work as I want to) and found that my T became quieter than it first was. Sadly this week I have a huge end-of-semester project deadline and multiple exams coming up in the next 2-3 weeks. No idea how I'm going to relax at all during this period. :(

Thanks so much for sharing this information. It makes me feel a lot better because I have some tinnitus coming and going that seems to have been caused by stress but today it was there a lot.
