I suffer from severe tinnitus and musical hallucinations, and it is getting worse. Sometimes, I hear a line from a song, and it can stick with me for days or even weeks. At night, when I try to sleep, I hear choirs singing, music playing, and someone with a loudspeaker shouting my name and screaming obscenities, all at the same time. It is overwhelming, often wakes me up, and really gets me down.

Sometimes, I also hear things like football crowds chanting or other random sounds. I am at my wits end. Please tell me I am not alone. What help is available for this? I desperately need to speak with others who are experiencing the same issues. I need support. This is ruining my life.

Is it from a song you have recently listened to? How often do you hear the line; once a minute, once an hour?

Is this during dreams; as you are falling asleep; as you are awakening or when you are lying awake?

Does this follow on from watching/listening football?

What random sounds? Are they consistent?

What kind of sounds are you exposed to in your typical day?

Other than the hallucinations, please describe your tinnitus.

Do you have any hearing loss?

How long have you had these auditory hallucinations?

Welcome to the forum. The Introduction section tends to have fewer readers, so you may not receive many responses regarding musical hallucinations or "musical ears." However, there have been numerous discussions on this topic in the past. You might want to use the search function to explore those.

Here's one example thread you can check out by searching for "musical ears." I hope you find it helpful.

Wishing you the best.
