I have a friend that has T. She got in in her teens. She said the first 2 years were the worst of her life. Back then there were no support groups or help. Her family thought she was just have hormonal/behavioral problems. She even had surgery to fix it (didn't know they even had that).
She said after two years she was fine. I saw her yesterday at my godsons party. it was loud. Screaming kids everywhere and they had a HUUUUUGE bounce house type obstacle course. Those things have LOUD machines that go when it is on. Point being is that when I asked if she could hear her T there at first she said no. I thought her's maybe was very faint. Then I asked "so if you focus you can't hear it?" she then said "oh yes if I focus on it I can hear it anywhere."
I believe that most of you guys would say that's pretty severe T?
Anyway her T doesn't bother her at all anymore. It gets worse when she gets sick and works out but she said even when she has her peaks, she doesn't worry. It's part of her life. She said she can never be in complete silence however and she sleeps with the TV on. But depression, anxiety, worry, stress over the T is gone. For her she says she has learned what makes it louder and she says that motrin and ibuprofin does (it makes it louder for me too temporarily).
Interesting enough is that she did say she tried apple cider vineger for a few weeks for health reasons and the T went away for a few days. Then it came back. She didn't try it for the T though. She said that was like an added bonus. But she didn't get upset when it came back. She said she shrugged it off.
Just a little success story for you guys
