Hi I haven't posted in like 2 years but my hearing all of a sudden has changed in my right ear. Almost like I don't hear as well?

Will this go away? This hasn't happened before. It just sorta came on for no reason.

Also I just recently started taking tetracycline for my acne.

Hi Leo,

What caused your Tinnitus?
Have you ever done an audiogram?

Yes I have they told me I'm fine in the audiogram. My tinnitus came on randomly like over 2 years ago but just today it sorta like sound quality was a bit lessened.

Audiograms are inaccurate

your tinnitus was caused by hearing loss it's not an unknown.

So do you think the muffled sound of my hearing might go away. I've only had it for 10 min

I really don't need this right now. I'm in college right now and have a lot of stress

And this is why we should do the speech in noise test to determine whether the IHC have been damaged. Things can appear to be normal on the audiogram and DPOAE because outer cochlea cells are functioning properly, however there could be hidden hearing loss.

Did you listen to music using earbuds?
attend loud concert/club? any loud noise exposure?

No I used ear buds on the train but that's only at 1 tick volume sometimes I just leave them in for protection. and I haven't gone to a concert in my life.
It just happens out of no where.

it may get better but a complete recovery is impossible better spend the rest of your life (or atleast until you are cured) supporting biomedical research, here is some info that may help you in 5-15 years.

within 5-15 years there may be real treaments for mild forms of hearing loss

What dude I know about the recsearch fourm I'm just asking if random hearing loss is temporary in one ear I feel a tiny bit of pressure too.
