Hi all, I'm a new member here and I'm 25 male, currently unemployed and live in Malaysia. For the last month I'm frequently looking for solution especially for the sudden hearing loss and tinnitus, which then I found this forum and 'gladly' that there's more victim more or less worst or longer in hearing problem(s) than me.
First, I encountered them suddenly after my 2 weeks of bad cough(Don't know if that matter). After that, some days after when I woke up just my right side of ear loss hearing like I mentioned above, then tinnitus came afterward in a week. When at first I was thought that it just normal behavior that will soon be recover in few days, but it did not. Soon after in 2 weeks time, my mom and I went to a polyclinic for his consultant and treatment, he check both of my ears which then he just mentioned it just ear wax blockage causing it. And he provides ear wax drops prescription for 1 week. After 1 week, I go back and the doctor do the syringe irrigation, and it does nothing but pain to my ear. He just saying that my ear wax are hardened, and given another 1 week of ear wax drops, and go back to see him again.
After the following days, when after my bath the water goes into my left ear(accidentally?), then hearing is loss of on my left ear as well. At first, I just tries to make those water out, but no luck. Then we go to the nearest general clinic (Not specialist and not polyclinic).
So here comes the nightmare/trauma, the doctor sees my left ear and also stating it just ear wax blocking my hearing, then he go to his glass cabinet(don't know what is called) store with some scalpel and plucks inside(this scares me alot). He then use the pluck and tries to manually extract those ear wax, and it hurt like hell when he trying to extracts them. Not to mention that he does some minor injury into my right ear.
After the nightmare, both of my ear is quite painful and ease of in an hour. The doctor wrote me a letter that ask me to look for ENT specialist for consultant and treatment. Which is just from last week actually.(26/8/17)
Delays came out afterward due to family member issue and then touches public holiday.
So during yesterday night, I have encountered another type of tinnitus which is the pulsatile tinnitus. When I lying down on my bed, at first I thought it was just some fellow hung their laundry that cause the water to drop on some roof causing the noise or it just raining. So then when I woke up at the mid of night to washroom, the 'noise' is stopped. So that I discovered another type of T, called PT.
So in conclusion, in the last month and till now could be the worse 'disease' in my entire 25 years of living here. From, 1 side hearing loss(and tinnitus) > becomes both side hearing loss(without tinnitus) > Pulsatile Tinnitus on Right side. And don't know why actually, both side of my eardrum got some popping sound started yesterday.(2/9/17)
So at the end, I will be visiting ENT specialist in my nearest government hospital soonest of next week, and really really hopes is not some major problem and definitely will cure and recover, which hopefully is not too late for treatment. But still, I'm quite worries the same trauma happen again from the ENT specialist...
Thank you for reading.
