So I got high frequency Tinnitus from a ruptured eardrum about 4 months ago.
The fullness feeling is gone, but there is still occasional pain and crackling when I yawn. The Tinnitus sounds volume and frequency have been progressively getting quieter with occasional spikes that subside after a few days. I've been taking a bunch of vitamins and eating right and protecting my ears and giving them a break from noise exposure. Today I woke up and I swear the ringing was gone for about 10-15 minutes at sat there in shock as I hadn't experienced silence for months. My eardrum felt weird, almost wet on the inside, I slept on my bad ear all night, which seems to help. The silence was short lived and the ringing slowly faded back in, but it seems much lower today. Are these all good signs? I've read it could take 6 months to a year for this type of tinnitus to clear up if it does, it's at the point now were I can only hear it in a very silent environment, seems to be more noticeable when I'm sitting or laying down, and standing still. Has anyone on here recovered from this type of tinnitus? I'm staying hopefull.
Also I had Hypercausis and some muffled hearing for the first 3 months. The hypercausis is virtually gone, and my hearing seems to be back to normal besides the Tinnitus of course...
