Tapering Off Trazodone/Antidepressents

Did anyone find that their tinnitus spiked when tapering off Trazodone? I want to switch to natural sleep aids. Thanks.

@ZachB is currently going through a tough time after taking this drug for a short while.

I can't tell my T has spiked while on Trazodone. The drug is no longer as effective for me (still not getting enough sleep) so I prefer to switch to something natural. I have read that antidepressants calm T, so wondering if mine will spike if I stop.

Ah, I see. I have read that the one I'm on, mirtazapine, can help allieviate T symptoms and thus, when tapered off, will make symptoms worse... could be the same with this one. I do know of three cases on this board of people who did not react well to trazodone.

Apologies for reviving an old thread, but did the spike from the taper resolve for you? Also did your tinnitus spike while you were on Trazodone prior to taper? I've been on 25mg for sleep the last 5 months and wasn't aware of the difficult taper.

Yes it did resolve, and no it did not spike me while on it.
