A temporary spike usually consists of a period when one doesn't notice any fading, followed by gradual fading, until eventually one gets back to one's baseline. How long was your longest period during which you didn't experience any fading?

A good question, on an important issue. The problem is that the spikes often persist with recurrent acoustic trauma as we dont live in acoustic chambers.

Hope you get over your spike soon.

I've always said what gets me through the bad days is the hope for a better day tomorrow. I was losing hope after several weeks of consistent high pitched tinnitus but today was a better day. My hope is partially restored.

Right now I am not suffering from a spike. Someone else wrote about having a spike in another thread. I thought this poll might help that person, and other people who will end up with a spike in the future.
