I could use some support.
In addition to the tinnitus joys, I sprained my ankle 3 weeks ago. I kept it wrapped and walked minimally on it. I don't know why I was not in a boot or given crutches. I tried to use a cane. I could not wear a shoe over my ace bandage so I wore these cushy flip flops but they had no support. My ankle calmed down and I have some decent range of motion back but the forefront of both feet are on fire. I have suffered from intermetatarsal bursitis in past due to tight calf muscles and have had successful cortisone injections.
Obviously, the altered gait for 2 weeks put way too much stress on the metatarsal heads of both feet. I had to travel to CA work my young son and by day 3 I could barely walk. I have pain in my toes. Existing numbing in web spaces on both feet are worse. Burning pain on the bottom of my feet, which is new. I suspect I have inflammation pressing on my nerves. I am waiting for my flight to Boston. I needed a wheelchair to get through the airport.
So... I am terrified that I developed Morton's neuromas which I doubt happened in 2 weeks but I have many of the symptoms, which I know also overlap with bursitis symptoms. I can't see my podiatrist for 2 more weeks. Injections are likely 4 weeks out, which I pray work. I have orthotics and am awaiting custom ones.
I am supposed to take my son to Disney in January. I fear I will be in a wheel chair. I am only 55.
Anyone have any experience with this?
Dealing with all this and tinnitus sucks.
Best,
Danielle
