The Efficacy of Bitter Almond Oil on the Severity of Chronic Tinnitus

This (non placebo-controlled) study is recruiting now. Expected recruitment end date August, 2021. Study takes place at Amir Alam Hospital in Tehran, Iran. One group gets bitter almond oil and Cinnarizine, while the other group gets only Cinnarizine. Any thoughts on what is behind the proposed (synergistic?) effect between bitter almond oil and Cinnarizine?

There appears to be no existing threads about bitter almond oil on Tinnitus Talk...

Bitter almonds contain cyanide if I am not mistaken.
