The Flu, Colds and Tinnitus

Thanks for checking in @Cher69!
Pretty sure is settled back down. I'm trying really really hard to not think about it, concentrate on other things and not "measure it" and while it's still there :( it's either lower, or I'm not freaking out as much about it

Thank you for replies. My cold almost subsided, and my T returned almost to the previous level. That volume spike was really probably cold related. It was horrible experience for me, but I won't be so scared next time at least.

So, time to continue the ride on habituation highway now...

I have come down with a nasty winter cold, fully equipped with a sore throat, stuffy/runny nose, chapped lips, under nose redness/soreness, stuffy ears (may or may not be related to T), head congestion, cough, and sneezing.

I'm always worried now about taking a medicine that could cause T to be worse.
Anyone have ideas of okay medicine to take?

hot milk, honey, vodka and garlic and tea.
:)

@Stina Sadly, I'm looking for a quick over the counter medicine to take! I'm at school and have class in a half hour! :(

Cant you skip the class and go home and sleep? Probably the best remedy! Otherwise I have no idea... i dont think taking a few painkillers would do anything to the T though.

@Stina I wish! I already missed multiple days this week due to weather, so I don't think I can miss again today!

I was thinking about taking like a benadryl or something!

I can't tell if the crackling in my ears is from T, or is from my cold/lots of mucus. This type of crackling is different than the kind I had before, and started sometime last night. Bleh!

You should be fine with most common decongestants available, if you're in doubt thought just double check on google. I did a quick look for the one you've mentioned and it seems fine.

You *might* experience temporary spikes with stuff like aspirin, ibuprofen/NSAIDs, pseudoephedrine, etc. But these are almost always temporary spikes unless you're taking absolutely ridiculous dosages over long periods of time, so don't stress!

@yonkapin Thanks!

I just am feeling horrible and don't want to take medicine for fear of worsening T, but I may take some since I can't find anything really about permanent spikes after taking the medicines.
