Oh Jazzer I think being able to talk about other stuff in General Chat is important. Whether it is sharing favorite songs..umm like country
or talking about life situations other than tinnitus or reading threefirefour's thread...I remember years ago being in this real time support group for survivors of suicide and I walked in and before the meeting started people were chatting and laughing and talking about RV trips and I remember being so depressed and sad and lost and wondering if I would ever be one of them. I couldn't understand how they could be so normal. I would understand a year later.

Yes, I get the point that being a bit of a rebel can make things happen, and shake people into activity.
For myself, I don't particularly care if I am liked or not. I don't worry about that.
What is absolutely central to me is that
"I like myself, that I respect myself."
I promise you, I haven't always.
There were times when I hated myself.
I would love to have gone through this life without hurting anybody.
Well, I didn't make it.
My faults and mistakes I deeply regret.
I intend to make no more.
One thing I know for a dead certainty.
If we don't have kindness - we have nothing.
