well five years on, having never habituated properly, but managed quite well, I'm having a really bad time. Brought about I think by having to up my dose of beta blocker. Shockingly loud tinnitus and a full feeling ear, pinched feeling face. Am I fed up? You bet!!
Anybody else on beta blocker?

Hi. Yes I'm on beta blockers and some days they do seem to temporarily increase the volume of my T. I only take them when needed, not at regular intervals, so it's been harder to identify any correlation. Bizarrely, I've taken them more the last few days and my blocked feeling in my ears has returned and the pressurised feeling in my ears has increased. Mine are only 10mg. I too have had T for approximately 5 years but it was incredibly low until a viral infection at Christmas.

I been on beta blockers for many years and doesn't affect my tinnitus. It is possible that it is affecting yours. However, consider looking at your lifestyle. Do you attend venues where loud music is played? Do you listen to music through headphones?

No I don't attend loud music. If I attend theatre I use ear plugs, I never use ear buds, I just can't bear any noise in one ear. I had a mini stroke, I'm told it's probably cochlear damage. I've alway, always looked after my ears, and look where it's got me!
