There are times last few days where I don't realize that my T is there and then something tells me to check and listen and yup it's pretty loud ...how can this be its so freaking weird .....Only thing I've done differently is that I've been taking klonopin at night every couple days .... Not sure what the hell is going go maybe my mind is getting easily distracted now ..... Anyways I'm going to Mass general on Monday have an appointment with a doc that's been dealing with T related issues.....hope this new year brings us all something relief God bless

Good news indeed. That is the so call 'Ah Ha' moment when the brain starts fading out T from consciousness because it is no longer treated as a threat and when a person realizes this kind of moment are getting more frequent and for longer duration, it gives confidence that it can get better over time. This will help reduce the stress level and speed up the habituation. Congrats.

Hey Carlos. This is awesome.
Keep up the good work. If there is a setback, don't care. The way goes up.

@billie48
Billie, does your "dentist drill" really fade from consciousness?

Hey Martin yeah it seems my brain is getting harden to the T ......its been year and a half Billie is probably right brain is seeing it less of a threat I guess that makes sense. ..Hope your doing ok Martin I often think about you and what your wife is going through I pray that both of you find health and happiness this coming year...
Stay strong

Hi Carlos -

I'm really glad to hear that. Re: Mass General, I've been to both Mass General and Mass Eye & Ear Infirmary, and it's clear to me that no one really knows much about Tinnitus. Who did you meet with? I would love to get a second opinion on my pathology, and if your specialist at MGH was helpful, it'd be a welcome relief for me.

Thanks!

I have an appointment Monday with Dr Edward Reardon I'm not expecting a miracle just want him to go over everything and get his opinion on how to go forward.....I'm taking klonopin .5 tab every other day at nite and it seems to be helping me a great deal ....Just don't want to stay on it for too long I'll see what he says........I agree it's tough to find anyone that can give us guidance on how to live with T ....Hope this year brings us some answers
