Think I'm Zinc Deficient

I hear that zinc deficiency may exasperate tinnitus. I never thought about it, but after reading on it, it makes sense.

Apparently one of the groups of people who lack Zinc the most are vegetarians, so I'm at pretty big risk for that. Aside from meat I also don't eat legumes or beans, and need to add more to my diet. We have them in my house so I will be eating beans and legumes for every dinner for the next two weeks.

I will update this to see if there has been improvement in my tinnitus.

I'm a vegetarian too ~ and since I'm lactose-intolerant, I eat only the tiniest amounts of dairy products. I hadn't given much thought to zinc.

I looked up which vegetarian foods had zinc and was happy to see spinach, cashews, and mushrooms on the list. They're all staples in my diet. But maybe I'll get some pumpkin seeds next time I go grocery shopping. Can't hurt.
