I saw this fictional scene from Chicago Med of a character experience tinnitus-like symptoms.



While the biological reason isn't quite tinnitus, the distress, the alienation of doctors not believing you, and despair are so accurately captured.

I related to this episode and liked that it was shown to mainstream audiences. If normal everyday people can have even a hint of understanding the pain we go through, maybe it could help how isolating this disability is and how seriously doctors need to start taking it.
 
Thanks for posting this. It actually made me quite emotional. The words "we can't make you the person that you were before, and dealing with this is going to be a long process." If ENT's and audiologists around the world could just replace "learn to live with it" with that simple sentence, it could make a world of difference for some people.
