It's been about a month and a half since I started having Middle Ear Myoclonus (MEM).

Not confirmed by doctor, but signs seem to point to it. I'm having what seems to be Dysacusis because of it. Supposedly have conductive hearing loss, but I guess my MEM could be the cause.

If you have or had MEM, does it get better? Especially for the latter, how did it go away? And what steps did you take, if any?

I think you asked me before in another thread about dysacusis. No, I have never experienced it.

Also hoping to hear from others whether it goes away.
If your tinnitus came from TMJ problems, have you tried to get it fixed? My tinnitus seems to come from TMJ/neck issues as well nowadays. Even my left side (which isn't affected by tinnitus) gets fleeting rings sometimes if I don't take care of my posture, etc. Stretching my neck makes it go away.

Also, is yours because of TTTS or Stapedial Myoclonus?

I know Middle Ear Myoclonus (MEM) appears to be quite rare. Mine is pretty bad right now.

Is there anything I can try such as muscle relaxers or supplements to try and reduce it?

It's been crazy for 2 weeks non-stop.

I have seen people mention muscle relaxers helping to calm down the muscles in the ear.

I tried muscle relaxers. It seemed to help a little bit.
Can you remember the names of the muscle relaxers you tried? Mine has not stopped for 4 weeks now.

I have tried Magnesium Glycinate and so far no improvement. It's certainly getting worse lately and I don't get any breaks from it like I used to.

I also recently got MEM and am so hoping it will go away. It's been crazy for about 2 weeks. I'm already on Diazepam so it's hard to tell how much it helps or if at all. I just want it to stop. The nights are the worst for me. I do have TMJ as well.
