TINNET - Better Understanding the Heterogeneity of Tinnitus to Improve and Develop New Treatments
The proposal "Better Understanding the Heterogeneity of Tinnitus to Improve and Develop New Treatments – TINNET" has been approved by the COST Committee of Senior Officials. This project will help to improve our knowledge about tinnitus, the treatment of the tinnitus patients and increases the already fruitful cooperation among tinnitus researches in Europe any further.
We are now inviting tinnitus researchers from as many european countries as possible to participate in the project.
What is the COST action about?
Goal of the COST project is to create a paneuropean tinnitus research network and build up a large scale data base of clinical, neuroimaging and genetic data in order to identify pathophysiologically and clinically meaningful subtypes of tinnitus.

Who can participate?
Tinnitus researchers that are located in the COST countries. These are: Austria, Belgium, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Bulgaria, Croatia, Cyprus, Czech Republic, Denmark, Estonia, Finland, France, Germany, Greece, Hungary, Iceland, Ireland, Italy, Latvia, Lithuania, Luxembourg, Malta, The Netherlands, Norway, Poland, Portugal, Romania, Serbia, Slovakia, Slovenia, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, Turkey, United Kingdom and the former Yugoslav Republic of Macedonia.
Which countries are already participating?
France, Germany, Poland, Spain and the UK have already signed in.
When will it start?
The Kick-off Meeting of the Management Committee will be in late March or early April in Brussels.
