I don't have any tinnitus earlier, I had a colonoscopy/endoscopy procedure around August, 2017 with general anesthesia and then had colestipol to stop diarrhea and around mid October I went for a movie which was very loud and also in October had lot of indigestion issues did ultrasound and it showed I have gallstones and one or two days I can feel the roof spinning feeling, after that I had a shot for b12.

Around mid November, I started to noticing the ringing in both of my ears at night and when its very silent.I cannot relate at which instance it might have started, but these are the series events that occurred before the dizziness. I went to the oncologist, he say its not due to ear wax, I don't have any hearing loss. All he said is to do some exercise, avoid caffeine and keep a fan near by while sleep so that sound masks it, but no real cure. I'm not getting enough sleep due to ringing in sound, also when I concentrate on it, the ringing gets louder. I do understand if you deviate in to some other action, it is less. But while sleeping it's very tough.

If any one can help/share with their experience on when their tinnitus started and any medicine helped to stop it,appreciate your response?

Welcome to the forum. Sometimes it is hard to pin point down to one exact cause of tinnitus unless it happens right after the event. There are many causes, single or combined, which can trigger or aggravate tinnitus including but not limited to drug side-effects from ototoxic drugs, ear wax build-up, ear-wax removal suction, inner ear infection, Eustachian tube disorder or ETD, ear drum injury, fluid build-up in ears feeling pressured or fullness, sinus infection & congestion especially with a bad cold, TMJ, TTTS, autoimmune disorders such as Lyme Disease & Fibromyalgia, high blood pressure or blood circulation problem, anemia, loud noise exposure or acoustic trauma/shock, head injury or TBI, neck injury or muscle problems, hearing loss from aging or other causes, Meniere's Decease, barotrauma from rapid pressure changes in flights or diving, especially with congested nose or sinus causing failure to balance the pressure changes, slapping of the ears, deep grief, untreated sleep apnea, extreme/extended stress, anxiety & panic disorder, depression, sleep deprivation, etc. T can also be caused or made worse by unhealthy diet such as too much salt, sugar, caffeine, MSG, alcohol etc. or by lacking some mineral or vitamin supplements.

I can share with you my experience with tinnitus in the following link of my success story where I share many helpful strategies.

As for medicine to stop it, if your T has a specific cause such as an infection in the ears, then once the cause is fixed by its respective medicines, then your T will either fade or disappear. For sleep help, you can try Melatonin which is a natural product and should be better than prescription medicine. You can try sound enrichment or masking at bed time. A sound machine or sound pillow will help. If you have PC and speakers, you can try the following sites for nice masking sounds. Take good care. God bless.

TT's excellent audio player: https://www.tinnitustalk.com/audioplayer/

or this online sound library, particularly the self-mix nature sounds: https://mynoise.net

or download free sound generator 'aire freshener': http://www.peterhirschberg.com/mysoftware.html

or click play to mix these sounds with this simple sound generator: http://asoftmurmur.com/

or search youtube with words like 'tinnitus masking sounds', 'white noise', 'rain sound' etc.
