Tinnitus Since
24/10/15
Hi I'm 15 and iv had tinnitus for 5 days.
It started after I got pressure in my ear, I later tried to equalize the pressure by holding my nose shut and blowing the pressure into my ears.
Now I'm hearing a high pitched sound and I have trouble sleeping.

You mean blowing in or out? Sorry about your problem, hopefully it will go away on it's own. Get tests done just in case. Maybe there's another cause.

This is how I got tinnitus, stop doing this now and you should be ok. I had minor T to start from performing this method (valsalva), the problem is that I kept going and going, the louder my T got, the more plugged my ears would feel. I eventually did some damage and was given antibiotic ear drops and other meds which made things a lot worse and caused further damage. Stop now, let your ears heal, leave them alone :) be careful of ear drops, if your ears are bleeding or torn inside the drops can cause a ton of damage. Take care

excellent. If the doctor said that, then there's very good chances it will go away. Let us know.

My dad (not a doctor) thinks I might have pushed saliva and or other things into my the middle ear.
He suggests to drop
boric acid/alcohol otic(OTC)
I said no because

Are you asking my opinion? If it were me, and I could do it again, no I wouldn't do anything, let it heal. If I let mine heal on its own maybe I wouldn't be here right now.

I might have suffered hearing loss but I'm not sure and sometimes I can only hear it in my right ear and sometimes I hear it in both. Sometimes it can be this low hight pitched sown. Sometimes it's loud and I can hear my own pulse.
Most of the time it's quite lowd.
