Cause of Tinnitus
Sudden hearing loss of 50DB
Hey, I'm 26 years old and have suffered sudden hearing loss in my right ear. It was 48dB loss and hearing came back.

Still have a little fullness and like water drops feeling and a mild tinnitus, goes louder when I smoke or get myself exposed to loud music. That's why I stopped smoking cigs.

It's been 2.5 months since the day of the event.

Does anybody have a similar case and can tell me what are the odds for the tinnitus to go away?

Thanks.

TBH you shouldn't expect T to simply go away, especially when it's caused by something like sudden hearing loss. It may sound harsh to say that but it's better to get in the mindset that you need to adapt to the T rather than giving yourself false hope that it'll magically disappear. It'll take time but you too will find your own sense of acceptance and eventually you may barely notice the sound as many have done. Anyways, check out those links if you haven't already.

I had 55 dB sudden hearing loss hearing returned and tinnitus cured after about 2.5 years.

The problem is when I exposed to loud sounds and benzos it came back.
