Tinnitus After Syringing Ears

I reallized now searching my browser history I been searching about tinnitus since 28 January (once in 28 January, and another 17 february)... so probably the ear serynging was not the cause, but I'm pretty sure it agravated the condition more.
Both days were during the weekend, and weekends is where I feel more the effects as I dont go to work...

I syringed my ears on 24 february, I used olive oil 2 or 3 days before, but didnt do nothing, almost no wax came out, I think my ear feels blocked because it has pressure inside, not outside :(

i had a cold in the beginning of January probably related! Probably the worst I ever had because I had to miss my job two days.

So I have tinnitus at least since 2006 (first time I noticed was after my first ear serynging, it was done by the doctor when I was 18, doesn't mean it was not there before, but it was the firt time I noticed that), very very low, didn't even cared about it, apparently it aggravated around January and again a month ago after serynging my ears...

My mind playing tricks, I cant remember that but it's on my search history, that's a fact...

@dm222

I advise you again to get a referral to ENT so that your ears can be examined. These doctors are the professionals. Keep away from headphones and loud music. With respect to @dpdx, please do not follow his example. By this I mean constantly worrying over this as it will make your symptoms worse. Please click on the link below and read my post and seek professional help ASAP.

I wish you well
Michael

For those with tinnitus from syringing ears did yours got better eventually?

I do not mean disappear, I would settle for it getting a bit better, because I can hear it all day...

I'm getting crazy during this weekend, sitting without nothing to do, and I don't enjoy the things I used to do anymore on free time like watching tv shows.

Welcome to my world

This, I was feeling my left ear clogged, and still do, little wax came out compared to other times...

Going to ENT tomorrow, is the fact I don't have hyperacusis a bad or good sign?

Is it safe to drive 400kms this weekend?
And then another 400 to return back.

I was planning to go 4 days near my family for easter.

I will go by car because bus is louder...

Also I can't wear plugs because I have a twisted ear canal, and it hurts...

Can you get custom made earplugs? What type of earplugs have you tried?

It took some trial and error for me to find comfortable earplugs. And sometimes I feel like musician plugs are more comfortable and sometimes they annoy me and foam plugs feel better.

I have driven quite a bit. Recently drove six hours. The road, your vehicle and the vehicle tires make a difference.

Try not to keep worrying about hyperacusis as there is a risk of making your condition worse due to negative thinking and anxiety. It can become a big problem. Don't let tinnitus or hyperacusis rule your life. click on the links below and read my posts.

This doesnt look good, I think.

The doctor didn't mention anything wrong though. Only gave some meds for the eucatinal tube.

But the values are very low!

I'm only 29

To test the tympanus...

It also tests if you have fluid inside the ear.

Not sure if it is recommmended for tinnitus since it vibrates...

My tinnitus is worse than yesterday because he decided to use microsuction to remove a bit of war, was like 1s before I stopped him and asked him not to do that.

Yesterday and today I was better now my tinnitus is back to whst it was 2 days ago.

No to microsuction

Still the same here.

Tinnitus is worse at night and then during sleep if I wake up at 3am or in the morning when I wake up it gets very soft.

Im medicated to sleep now so Ive been able to sleep better.

Ear fullness gone for 1 week most of the time at least.

My hearing in the affected ear seems also better after the ear fullness went but tinnitus is the same... Very sensitive to noise... It gets loud if I hear something above 35db....

Did you do an audiogram after the ear syringing.

My second ENT said to do it if I don't improve in 3 weeks... He did a simple test with an metal object vibrating and I could ear better on the non damaged ear so I believe I have loss... Hearing by bone was pretty much the same in both ears though
I have the impression my right year is better for years now though, before this tinnitus... I also had a very quiet tinnitus I would not notice 99% of the days.

The first one was useless tried to worsen my condition in every way he could...

Tried to do microsuction in the ear without asking first... And then I asked to stop and complained and he said it was the safest way... Thanks to this forum I stopped before he did more damage... It was REALLY LOUD!!!

the second was much better because I believe he also suffers from it...

Yesterday I could sleep turned to the bad ear, that would be unthinkable 2 weeks ago... Don't know if it is because I'm protecting my ears more or because I'm taking sleep medication, or because I'm not so terrified by it as I was, again probably because of the meds...

My ENT wanted me to do multiple tests as she coudnt believe I had acoustic trauma.
I am going in for another hearing exam soon. I did three so far, the one in occtober was normal, one in January was normal, while the one in February had hearing losss...

Back, staying offline (of all tinnitus matters) for two weeks really helped me, I'm doing fine.

Overall tinnitus is a bit better, still improving and the biggest change was psicologically where I don't care about tinnitus anymore

90% of the time I don't remember I have it. stopped focusing on it. coming here all the time doesn't help so I will keep offline for now.

hope to write a sucess story in a few weeks

the advice I give for now is:

for those with mild to minor tinnitus get all the information you need online and then stay out of it as it will only make you focus more on it. you need to cut the things that make you think about tinnitus and searching and browsing all the time about tinnitus is one of them. You wont find a magic cure online, trust me, there isn't.
Once you stop thinking about it you wont care so much, you will still notice sometimes but when you notice you will just dont care as you know it will get out of your mind in a few minutes, and it is a vicious cicle that gets better and better (or worse and worse if you focus to much)

the biggest thing is:

YOU NEED TO STOP THINKING ABOUT IT AND THE ONLY WAY CUT THE THINGS THAT MAKES YOU THINK ABOUT IT!!

once you are better then come back to help others.
