Cause of Tinnitus
rear molar tooth extraction
I am learning that there are myriad reasons for tinnitus after a tooth extraction. I have been diagnosed with Eustachian tube issues but from what I'm reading it could be the interplay of nerves and various other issues causing both tinnitus, Eustachian tube, and sinus congestion issues. It is great to know there are other people out there suffering, and to learn more from their stories.

I had my left number one molar removed in July 2023 which has caused persistent tinnitus and problems with clearing my left ear. I am 64 and had all four wisdom teeth removed when I was 18, with no issues like this that I can recall. I feel pressure behind my ear and was diagnosed with a Eustachian tube infection, but it has not responded to antibiotics. I feel like it is a waste of time to see more doctors, but I am under the care of an ENT right now because I have sinus issues that I've never had before in my life, which I am told can be the result of the Eustachian tube infection. I don't have complete confidence in my doctor, he's always trying to sell me one kind of surgery or other. Ridiculous.

If anyone out there has had this combination of circumstances, I would love to hear anything that has helped them! Thanks for reading.
