I have a slight desire to start a vlog where I talk about tinnitus and do Mukbang. Does anyone know if eating giant lobsters and or McDonald's along with massive amounts of sauce can exacerbate tinnitus? Do any of you have experience with this?

Also, I went to a fairly noisy late-Thanksgiving/toddler's birthday today and everything was fine. You know how when fleeting tinnitus begins it's like you lose a lot of hearing and then it rings loudly for a few seconds or so? Well on the drive home which was about an hour, I suddenly lost a lot of hearing in my left ear and experienced some ear fullness and I was expecting a fleeting tinnitus episode, but the tinnitus never came, but my hearing loss is persisting from about an hour ago. This is the first time something like this has happened to me.

Will definitely subscribe if you do.

Do you still have anisocoria, @JohnAdams?

Two things:

1) I feel like you were kind of Mukbang-ing Curcumin for a while per your posts, which could actually be a really useful Mukbang + Tinnitus vlog. Possibly changed the entire trajectory of your tinnitus for the better, as per recent posts.

2) Re: Giant Lobsters + McD: not sure where you are located (Vatican?) but a magical combination of those two concepts exist in the New England states ONLY in summer: The McLobsta Roll. And I'm pretty sure they stylize the spelling to represent the Boston Accent. An epic Mukbang, ripe for cult following.

The only downside is that you'll likely die of mercury poisoning. But that's assuming it's actually Lobster. Or even Fish It's probably BeyondLobster, or the ImpossibleLobster, or some sort of Lobster from the Seafood division of Bristol Myers-Squibb, who should be working on Tinnitus drugs, not Lobster proxies.

This is a super alarming sensation but I know exactly what you're talking about. It has only happened to me and persisted for that duration on a very limited number of occaisons over the past 10 years, but I know the first time was incredibly alarming and upsetting.

My fleeting tinnitus was much louder and more frequent and with a stronger muffling component in general, the first 5 years after my worsening. During that time I occasionally would wake up with absolutely insane unilateral tinnitus that may have corresponded to sleeping in a TMJ-compressing position: within six months of nightly use of a TMJ guard, that problem had stopped entirely.

However, I think there has been a general "settling" of the intensity of my fleeting T, that has nothing to do with TMJ. I was thinking about this earlier today because I got a unilateral fleeting T that was barely muffling, and barely louder than my baseline tinnitus. I remember the early days, some times it felt like it would knock me over.

I have no idea what Mukbang is and only a hazy understanding of vlogs, and I am too old to learn new things that aren't directly related to my life or career.
