Member@April everyone is different so things may not work the same for you. But it wouldn't cost you much to try the Pacato Music Filters by ACS, and you may find that with those you can hear sufficiently in social situations without your hearing aids, because of the way they screen out noise. Nothing to lose by trying.
Also, I would council you to try *everything* ... even what seems crazy. I have sometimes worn a hearing aid in one ear and an earplug in the other!
