@jocke i use to listen to headphones a lot, but I stopped like a month ago, maybe that caused it who knows, I can deal with it now it's not a bother I'm just hoping it doesn't get worse.. but yeah I'm not stressing lol, if I can't sleep then I can't sleep never use to get much of that anyways
@josho771 okay, so if you listend to loud music that may be the problem. But remember if your T dissapears take care of your ears as if you had T. By that i mean have earplugs in noise places and dont listen to loud music because it may come back then and if it does it might stay permanent so take care of your ears. Well you should take care of your ears anyways so hope you will get better.
@jocke thanks my man! Hope you get better as I said no need to stress about it, when you hear the sound do you think about it more than when it's not there?
@josho771 Well kinda. I mean i dont hear it during the day so i dont think about it untill i am going to bed. thats when i am focusing on it wich i shouldn´t do but thats because i am not used to it yet
@jocke I think mine gets louder at nights, but that's just because it's so quite and I'm so relaxed lol, I'm gonna try listen to some of those tinnitus relaxing things on YouTube tonight to see if that can get me abit better sleep
@josho771 yeah, i think so too, that you dont think about it and when you go to sleep its so quiet that you notice it and if you are tired that can cause louder T, not permanent but for a while
@jocke exactly! But when I go out through the day I can't hear it or when I'm busy etc but when I comes to night and I relax I can hear the noise again haha, but I just let it be there and deal with it don't worry or stress about it, and I think there is always worse things to have and try stay positive
@josho771 YES. It is great that you think positive and trying to aviod stress. I think that is REALLY important. If you search about T on google it basically sais that you are f*cked and ruined your life. And if you keep on being positive you will ingnore your T so it will better. It might even cure it for you so one day you think " ohh i cant hear my T" and its gone. That would be great.
@jocke yeah man even though I hear the noise.. even I can hear it now I still have a laugh and just carry on watching tv (always louder at nights) but I still think positive and just deal with it like any other sound even though I've had it for like 4 days, I mean yeah it's annoying but sh*t happens, anyways is yours both ears or just the one?
@josho771 I dont think it will get worse if you not blast it with music or other things. i was also afraid of that but i see now that it wont be worse for no reason
@jocke I'm not gonna be listening to music through headphones anymore, or even loud in general, just gonna have to get use to not going or trying to avoid loud things
@josho771 i think you will be fine at the end. I personally read about a terror attack explosion that caused many peapole to get T. 47% of them got cured after 6 months so i think if i heard a firecracker and they heard a massive bomb and got cured i think i will be too. As it says on your profile that you are not sure what caused your T its difficult to say if you will be cured. But if not then you can try out this method https://www.tinnitustalk.com/threads/back-to-silence.7172/
@jocke thinking of things actually about 1 week ago my smoke alarm was going off constantly for about 10mins and that was kind of loud and also I was walking along the street and a loud car went past and it made a loud bang which made me jump lol, so thinking of it maybe one of these have caused my ear to mess up
@josho771 it's hard to say. Mine was so obvious so I know for sure what it was. But yeah it could be those things that could cause the T. But if i understand you correctly it is not that loud. Mine is medium to low
@josho771 yeah same here. i am used to sleep in a super quiet room. I had my pc running one night and i couldn´t sleep so i turned it off to be able to sleep.
@josho771 But do you sleep much. Are you an adult or teen? I mean i think it's easier to deal with it when I had enough sleep. And I am glad that I did not get T over a weekend so that Monday morning at school would be terrifying.
@jocke I'm 21, I mean I can sleep with it like I'll just fall asleep with the tv on or something, but I'm gonna try a white noise thing tonight, but as the sleep I never slept much before I had this anyways
@josho771 But are you tired at the day of not sleeping much. I mean if you dont need more sleep than you have then i think its no problem. But in the beggining of my T i had hard time sleeping. I slept for 7 hours. And i need 10 do be able to not get tired in the day. And the white noise thing is releaxing so i think that will be great for sleeping
@jocke not really I've went years with only like 5 hours sleep sometimes less, so I'm use to it now kinda I do have days where I'm more tired but it doesn't bother me, I just wait till I pass out from watching tv or something
Hang in there boys! I advise you not to use masking white noise sounds if you have mild or low T since it can spike it! And dont forget to update us what happes with your T after some time! If you habituate or it fades away! Take care!
