Tinnitus Caused by Benzos — Has This Gone Away for Anyone?

Hi there,

Ativan (and , maybe a lack of sleep) caused my tinnitus. At first I just stopped cold turkey, currently in the process of slowlyyy tapering down now.

The damage is done now, and I was just wondering if anyone in a similar situation has had it to away, or knows of any instances of it going away for benzo/ativan users.

How did you taper down and how much were you taking , is that lorazepam

I've read numerous accounts of benzo withdrawal induced tinnitus which eventually resolved after months/years off of benzos, and a few cases where it didn't.

Wait, did you get the tinnitus when you were first taking it, or when you stopped cold-turkey?

I went c/t 3 months ago. I have been suffering from T for the last 2 months..Is there any chance for it to go away or is it a permanent damage?

There's a good chance it'll reduce or go away but it might take a long time...
