Hi all,

I have had tinnitus since 2011. But I have learned how to live with it. I have it under control where I can ignore it. The main issue is that my back, arms etc. have huge muscle tension.

With Paroxetine Aurobindo (against stress) my blood pressure is back to normal (it was before very high because of the tinnitus). Also my muscle tension is not as bad. Without the pills it feels like someone is constantly squeezing my arms and I have constant back pain etc. When I stop taking the pills it comes back again.

It seems that due to the increased brain activity my fight-or-flight response is not functioning correctly (including when taking the pills). This causes me to have huge muscle tension/problems. I also often have a headache caused by the stress.

I hope to find some help/ideas here. Also I'm very curious to hear stories about people who were/are in the same situation and where they are now.

I wish you all good luck with tinnitus or other issues! Thanks!

Regards Elco

Look for therapeutic yoga classes in your area. They specialize in solving these kinds of problems, and they work.

If you have money to spend, see a yoga therapist 1v1. Needs to be a good one of course

There are physiotherapists that would be able to help you with this as well.

Hm I've had tinnitus for more than 3 years now, I still can't cope well at all and I do notice muscle tension a lot more now... Ever since my tinnitus became super loud my body doesn't feel well... I clench my jaw a lot, I can't find peace in anything I do, and notice a lot of tension on the muscles...

The only thing that seems to work for me to some degree and temporarily is basically just take a bath.
