Tinnitus Clinic?

Go read the thread about possible future treatments.

Hi. I did. Until it happens I have nothing to be excited about. Even then Most of these treatments are decades away so I'll have wasted my life already by then. As in to say all of my good years will have already been used up.

Actually, tinnitus clinics are a too important topic not to discuss it further.

I have already described my view here:

Tinnitus clinics are usually psychosomatic clinics that require the word "depression" as their initial diagnosis. For people who want to get psychological help, they may be a good place to go.

The tinnitus concept is usually very one-dimensional and usually only knows hidden hearing loss as the cause of tinnitus. Accordingly, hearing aids are recommended for almost everyone, even if the hearing loss is low relative to age.

Somatic tinnitus is usually an unknown word. In pulsatile tinnitus an angio-MRI is recommended, if this is not clearly pathological no further idea is pursued. Hyperacusis is interpreted purely psychologically. Better and worse days, - the famous "spikes" - are also explained psychologically.
I recommend taking advantage of the possibilities of outpatient examinations.
